Baron was one of the first people I met when I moved to Vail he worked at Pazzo’s in Avon and Shane and I were regulars there. Fast forward about 5 years and I find myself photographing his wedding with best friend and fellow photographer Shane Macomber (you can see his pics from the wedding here). This was one of the funnest weddings I have been to since I knew most everyone there and Baron is one of the greatest guys I have ever met. Julie has real dry sense of humor and is adventurous like Baron. It was one of those wedding days where everything went smoothly. These guys are cruising around Africa this summer and preparing for move to Austin in the fall. I wish them the best of luck.

Baron was so emotional through out the day it made for some great photos.

Their two dogs acted as the ring bearers.

Best first kiss ever!

When I met Paul and Melissa to talk about their wedding, Paul mentioned to me that when he was in college he took a photojournalism class and that it was one of his favorite classes. That was exciting for me because I come from a photojournalistic background and I am a member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association I knew this was going to be a perfect fit. Melissa and Paul seem like they have been together their whole lives, they both have a fantastic sense of humor and are some of the most easy going people I have ever worked with. These two people will make one another so happy. Paul is the type of person you have an instant connection with…he tells great stories and makes everyone around him feel comfortable. Melissa kisses everyone on the lips and she is the type of person that would do just about anything to make someone smile. I know these guys will be happy for the rest of their lives. I love so many of their photos that this blog post has a few more pictures than usual. Thanks for looking!

If you are like me you have never been up to Budge’s Lodge…you haven’t been there because it is far away. Head west on I70 and exit Dotsero…its the last exit before you get to the Glenwood Canyon. From the Dotsero exit you drive 40miles on a national forest service road…it takes almost three hours to drive those 40 miles…the last 9 miles are so rough and rugged it takes an hour to get through it. Once I reach my destination I meet Callie and Tommy from Kansas…Tommy is in the airforce and Callie wants to work for NASA we have a couple of extremely intelligent people who love each other on our hands. Tommy and Callie’s wedding was very intimate with only family and a few very close friends. As always it is a great honor to be asked to document a special time in a couples life together and I wish Tommy and Callie the best of luck.
